The FMI AP Rising Star is an emerging professional in asset protection / loss prevention who demonstrates exceptional promise through their actions, leadership, and positive influence. This individual leads by example, contributes meaningfully to their team and organization, and represents the future of the LP industry with integrity, resilience, and impact - navigating both the successes and the challenges that come with a fast-changing and demanding retail environment. 

Nominees for the FMI Asset Protection & Grocery Resilience AP Rising Star Program should meet the following criteria:
  • Have approximately 3-10 years of experience in the field of asset protection i.e., mid-career level employees   (Director level and below)
  • Demonstrated strengths in (at least) ONE of the following categories:
    • Business Excellence: Nominee exemplifies business acumen.  They go above and beyond their traditional job duties to protect and add value to the business. 
    • People Excellence: Nominee exemplifies personal and professional development growth along with strong servant leadership skills. 
    • Profit Excellence:  Nominee exemplifies commitment to protecting or enhancing business profits as it
              relates to shrink, productivity or efficiency. 

  • Individuals submitting nominations must complete the submission form in full. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • The response to each criteria question must be 400 words or less.
  • You will be asked to also submit the nominee's resume and headshot photo (300 dpi or greater) with the form for consideration.  Please email these to TheHallMonitor@LPhall.com.
  • Nominations must be submitted by an individual other than the nominee being considered.
  • Only one honoree per company can be selected, however multiple nominations from any given company will be accepted.
  • Deadline for nomination submissions is close of business February 14, 2025.  Finalists will be informed of their selection within two weeks, before voting starts in early March.  
  • Selections will be made through a blind evaluation of the entire nominee pool. The FMI Asset Protection Council will evaluate nominees without viewing company or individual names.

In order to validate your submission, in the event we have any questions about your nomination, and to ensure the integrity of the nomination process, please provide your contact details on the nomination form.  Unfortunately, if you do not submit your contact details, your nomination will be eliminated from consideration.  Your name may be shared with the judges as part of your submission. Please note, however, that if your nomination is to be listed online, we will not post your name as the person making the nomination unless you agree for us to do so.
